Size ≠ Absorbency: How Advance® Booster Pads Help Without Upsizing

Size ≠ Absorbency: How Advance® Booster Pads Help Without Upsizing

Choosing the right incontinence product isn’t just about size, it’s also about absorbency. Many users mistakenly size up when leaks happen, but that can lead to fit issues and discomfort. Advance® Booster Pads offer targeted absorbency where it matters, helping you stay confident and leak-free, without changing your preferred product brand or size.

Why ‘just going up a size’ isn’t the answer

If you’ve found a product that fits well and feels right, it can be frustrating when it still doesn’t provide the absorbency you need. It’s tempting to assume the solution is to size up – but that’s a common misconception.

Sizing up your continence briefs is like ordering a large coffee instead of a regular. You don’t get more caffeine; you just get more milk. In the same way, a larger adult diaper isn’t more absorbent, it’s just bigger and often looser. That looser fit can actually increase your risk of leaks.

Instead of sizing up, you can either move up an absorbency level (e.g. from Super to Super Plus), or, if you’re already at the highest absorbency in your size? Add an Advance® Booster pad, think of it as adding an extra shot to your flat white.

Understanding the difference between size and absorbency

The size of your product should be based on body shape, not on how much protection you need. Absorbency is determined by what’s inside the product, not how big it is on the outside.

Incontinence products are designed to work best when they’re snug. A good fit helps prevent movement and gaps that can lead to leaks. If leaks are still happening, the answer isn’t a bigger product, it’s a more absorbent one.

That’s where Advance® Booster Pads come in

Advance® Booster Pads are designed to sit inside another product, like a pull-up or all-in-one brief. They don’t replace your main product – they enhance it, providing extra absorbency in the areas it’s needed most.

They’re breathable, discreet, and use high-performance SAP (super absorbent polymers) to quickly wick moisture away from the skin, keeping you dry and comfortable. Once full, they allow liquid to pass through to the outer product, extending wear time without compromising performance. This makes them ideal for overnight use or longer days out.

How to use an Advance® Booster Pad

Step One:

Place inside your regular Advance® Pad, Pull-up Brief or All-in-One (Adult diaper), centred lengthwise, and slightly toward the front if most leakage occurs there.

next

Step Two:

Check the fit, your outer product should still fit snugly and sit securely against the skin.

next

Step Three:

Swap out as needed, you can remove and replace just the Advance® Booster Pad if the outer product is still comfortable and dry.

We offer three absorbencies:

- Advance® Booster Pad Regular good for day use and lighter needs
- Advance® Booster Pad Super for moderate additional protection
- Advance® Booster Pad Super Plus longer and wider, with no adhesive, for overnight or high-need use

Comfortable, confident protection – no upsizing needed

Whether you’re caring for someone else or managing your own needs, it can be frustrating when the product you like isn’t quite enough. But sizing up can often make the problem worse.

Advance® Booster Pads offer a smart, comfortable way to boost protection without compromising on fit. If you’re unsure which size is best for your needs, we’re always here to help, or you can request a sample to try it out for yourself.
